The Bea and the Bug!

The Bea & The Bug!, a children's theater production, highlights American history. This multimedia, interactive, musical, educational family show appeals to all ages. It's an entertaining, live production in the inner-city. It stars HoneyBea, BungleBug, and DragonFly and introduces the performing arts. It is supported by tax-deductible donations to the Education & Entertainment Foundation, Inc.

Amelia Earhart is shown on screen during 'Did you Know?', an interactive portion of The Bea & The Bug!, performed at the Chesapeake Arts Center, a 900 seat theater.  (Click for Enlargement, 46K) The Bugs and their friends go back in time at Carter Barron’s 4,000 seat theater. The lyrics to 'The Weather Song' are projected on the screen so the children and adults in the audience can strengthen their reading skills as they sing along at the Chesapeake Arts Center. The Bea & the Bug! is an Award Winning show featuring American History and is tons of fun for all ages! It is filled with music and has multimedia, interactive components throughout the show. This unique show features persons from American History and HoneyBea, BungleBug, DragonFly. Audience members get to take home a game-filled (educational) program and terrific memories.

The Bea & the Bug, Writing Stories, Wowser Bowser! won the Television, Internet and Video Association of DC (TIVA-DC) Peer Award!


The Bea & the Bug, Writing Stories, Wowser Bowser! won the Capital Fringe Festival family-friendly category in a landslide, capturing nearly two-thirds of the vote. "The show had the audience participating right from the get-go," DCTS reviewer Joel Markowitz said. "The entire cast was wonderful."
